Art Classes Begin on Friday 8.17.2012
Hello to everyone at New Life Christian Academy:
I am Mr. William Holbert, but you can call me "Mr. H." I am the new Art teacher for NLCA. I am very excited about the school year. In art, you will learn and have fun-- all at the same time! We will explore the world of art and look at some historic art masterpieces as well. I ask that you come to art class ready to give it your all. It will make a successful year for all of us!
Items you will need:
Pre K - 3rd Grade- a # 2 pencil and your imagination
4th Grade - 12th Grade- a two pocket folder with three ring clips down the center (This folder will be used as an art journal. You will bring it to class and use it at home. When you draw in the journal, you will be graded on the pieces you complete).
Information for Secondary Students:
Each time you come to class you will alternate between an art lesson and an art history and appreciation lesson. Don't worry! It may be a challange, but I want to help you succeed, and we will work together.
Thanks to Mrs Campbell and the entire NLCA staff for giving me the opportunity to teach and use the talent God has given me. The Lord Has trully blessed me, and I now have a purpose: To be not just your art teacher, but to be a resource for helping my students succeed, and to be a brother to you in Christ".
